ENGAGEMENTS
There’s no better way to feel comfortable in front of the camera than with an engagement session. Wedding planning can feel overwhelming, but this season deserves to be remembered, too. Treat it like a date night — slow down, have fun, and simply enjoy each other. It’s also a beautiful way to experience my approach before your wedding day, so when the big celebration arrives, everything feels effortless.
Our experience with Maria was excellent! We were initially overwhelmed when trying to select a photographer for our interfaith wedding, but seeing Maria’s photos on her website made the decision easy. We really appreciated her style of photography - deep rich colors and focus on the couple. Other photographers seemed to have a lot of strange angles and washed out colors, which we were trying to avoid.
Hiring Maria was a breeze. She is responsive by email and always happy to jump on a call when needed. Part of her package included engagement photos, which were extremely helpful when putting together our save the dates and website. She is intuitive, yet also did a good job of asking us for our preferences to confirm. The wedding day was also a breeze, and Maria documented all of our key moments without being intrusive at all.
Maria’s turnaround times are excellent, and she was never late with delivering sneak peeks or the digital albums.
Finally, we also worked with Maria on the final physical photo album. She was very flexible and allowed us to have multiple rounds of revisions. She was very accommodating even when we wanted to swap out many photos for more preferred variations. It was a lot of work and Maria did not hesitate to help us develop the perfect album.
Overall my wife and I would highly recommend Maria for any event based on our experience working with her for our wedding. Thanks Maria!

Maria was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was very easy to work with, accommodating, and constantly stayed in touch with us to help us get the photos of our dreams! She made sure to answer every question we had right away, even agreeing to get on a phone call/zoom meeting as needed. She takes the time to get to know you, your spouse, and understand your wedding traditions, culture and anything else important to you.
Maria has a unique approach to her photos which I haven't seen before. She is also super patient. For example, my wife and I don't typically like posing for pictures, but Maria was there to guide us and tell us which way to look, where to put our hands, etc. As we got more comfortable in front of the camera, she let us be candid and do our own thing in order to grab truly authentic photos that showcased our love, which made our photoshoot so much more fun! At the end of the day, it felt like we were hanging out with a friend taking photos, rather that working with a professional photographer.
We had a south asian wedding which spanned multiple days. As all south asians may know, our families are not exactly the easiest to coordinate or give instructions to, especially during a wedding. Despite all the chaos, Maria stayed calm, patient and continued doing her thing. She even stayed extra time for some of the events without us asking to ensure we got all the photos we needed.

Her journalistic approach to photography is exactly what I was looking for. It's clear to see from her photos that she captures real feelings and emotions. Aside from her creative skills, she is a very kind person to work with also made my wedding day go smoothly. I felt like I made a friend rather than hiring a service.
I don't know how she manages to be everywhere at once, but she was able to capture every special moment that day. Going with Maria for our wedding photography was the best decision we could make!!! She was super accommodating and really nice to work with. Me and my husband are really not into posing and are super camera shy, but Maria made sure to not make us awkward with all the posing and still covered every minor detail of each ceremony. Be it the wedding rituals or cocktail dinner party, she captured everything so nicely… honestly, when everyone was busy dancing, she used to just sneak in and click and we wouldnt even realize she was around, which was really cool coz she got all the candid shots real nice. Maria did an amazing job capturing our wedding and she's a pleasure to work with. Although not Indian herself, she was familiar with the ceremonies, rituals, and culture. One of the best decisions my now-husband and I made for our wedding was working with Maria for our photographs. Initially, I loved her photography style from her online galleries, and I liked that she had done a variety of styles and faiths of weddings, including a lot of Indian and multicultural weddings - which applied to us.
We had a fantastic engagement shoot, and Maria was happy to walk all over the city with us and carry our things, all while getting to know us, telling stories, and teaching us how to get comfortable in front of the camera and what to do to get beautiful pictures that looked and felt natural, but that we would never have gotten without her guidance. She stayed in touch over the months until the wedding, and helped us figure out scheduling, talked through timing and plans so we could get the most photos in the most relaxed way, and then was there for our event the day before, and the wedding the following day.
